“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)

Youth/Childrens Church and Christian Education are an important part of a child’s development. Clarks Chapel Church of God strives to provide a well-rounded teaching program to our students. We teach love and the will of God. We encourage all of our students to share God’s love with others while applying it to their lives.

Our mission is to lead all children to be devoted followers of Christ and his teachings. Our vision is to invite all children to get to know Christ and transform their daily lives and the lives of others around them. We teach truth based values believing that God’s word is functional and true. We train every child to use this as their guide and authority in everything.

We believe that life change happens through relationships. Adults who exhibit Christ to children, their families and each other will show children how to do the same. This type of modeling will impact God’s Kingdom for generations to come. Children’s Church is adventurous and fun! We seek out a variety of different ways to make learning the gospel interesting! Through, song, programs, we explore God’s word and challenge children to have a vibrant growing relationship with Christ. Our goal is to grow the Whole Child mentally, spiritually and physically

WinterFest 2026:  Thank You, Church Family

We are deeply grateful to our church family for your faithful love, prayers, and generous support of our teens. Because of your giving, we have raised enough funds to send up to 16 students and 4 adult leaders to WinterFest. To God be all the praise! I am truly overwhelmed and overjoyed by the willingness of our church to invest in the next generation.

As we prepare to go, we ask you to continue lifting this trip in prayer. Pray for divine encounters, that every teen would experience the presence of God in a personal and powerful way. Pray that hearts would be soft, open, and ready for a mighty move of the Holy Spirit. Pray for freedom, healing, and renewal, especially for students carrying burdens that only God can lift. Also pray for unity, protection, and spiritual clarity over our students and leaders.

We will depart Friday the 23rd at noon and return Sunday the 25th by 3:00 PM. Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

With Heartfelt Thanks, Clint and Cathryn

Fields of Faith – A Night to Remember

On October 15, 2025 twenty-two from Clark’s Chapel attended Fields of Faith at the Wildcat stadium. It was a powerful evening of worship, testimony, and prayer.

What a blessing it was to see some of our own students worshiping with hands raised, unashamed and unafraid to express their love for Jesus—even surrounded by friends who may not yet know Him. Their courage and authenticity spoke volumes.

Butch Smith, shared a heartfelt message of hope and challenge, encouraging all Christians to live as light in a dark world.  Many students responded during the altar call.  Before leaving, everyone gathered and circled the entire football field and recited the Lord’s Prayer together—a beautiful display of unity and faith.

We believe the Lord was pleased, and that lives were changed. Please continue to pray for our students at Clark’s Chapel, and for all the Christian students and teachers—to walk boldly, shining the Light of Jesus Christ throughout Rains ISD.
